The Tenets are realised as language, which is limited to what can be put into words, yet point to meaning beyond language. Meaningful words point to phenomena beyond themselves, but words are not always meaningful; for example, when we do not listen. To hear a word without listening, is to deny it meaning, relegating it to noise.
To listen is to choose to pay attention.
Many terms in the Tenets, including Experience, Reality, Existence, and Presence, are defined literally and narrowly, to afford greater accuracy and precision when the words are used to triangulate toward the greater truths underlying Meaning.
Term limits
The term "Experience" is used narrowly, and literally, to mean what a person notices, or to state it more precisely, phenomena manifest to the subjective first person. So it wouldn't make sense to say that a person experienced a something—e.g., an event, thing, thought or emotion— without noticing it . ...although they may experience an absence.
